I think I have been a little bit slack with my posting efforts, I haven't posted for a while. (Besides the post about Alice's awesome giveaway).
Now.... just looking back at a few of my last posts... hmmmm..... ok, the last thing I mentioned about hockey was an upcoming game on the water turf. (You guys must be so sick of my going on and on about hockey, sorry but I just can't help myself). We won that game on the water turf 3-0!! And then we played again last Saturday on the grass, although we were unable to finish the game due to a accident on the field. One of the women on the other team tripped over her stick, when she fell she dislocated her knee and then when her knee hit the ground, it popped back into position. She was on the ground in a huge amount of pain and she could not move her leg. The ambulance was called for and the people at the hospital said that she was not to be moved until the paramedic's arrived in the ambulance. You see, in hockey the clock keeps running even if the is an injury, so it being in the second half and my team being ahead 3-0 once again, the other team gave us the win and called the game quits.
The woman who was injured happens to be our friends mum from across the road! So we have been able to keep up to date with how she is going. We were told that she need an operation. So lets just hope everything turns out well. Anyway. Naomi and I are playing hockey this Saturday once again and we are playing another new team. If we beat them, we will have played all the teams in the comp and be undefeated!! It sounds very exciting.
Summer is over and weather is really beginning to cool down. I hate cold weather. But there's nothing I can do about it.
We went to our Senior Cricket presentation a couple weeks ago. It was very exciting. My big brother received the Bowling award and the Players Player award. You can to my mum's blog to have a look at the trophies. My brother was kind of expecting the bowling award, but to receive the players player award was a huge surprise and a great honour. You see the players of the team vote for their favourite team mate, so my big brother was the most popular player! Naomi and I were also mentioned during the presentation for filling in for 3rd grade (men's cricket). I realised that Naomi and I were the only girls to play in the senior club. After the presentation we were also given a voucher to a restaurant which was pretty exciting. I have only ever been to one restaurant.
Well... its lunch time and I'm getting pretty hungry.
I better be off.
