Awards!

We had our association presentation on Thursday! It was pretty good. All my team mates and I each received a small trophy for winning the Grand Final. Naomi also received an award because she took the most catches in U/14's along with two other people. We have a club presentation next week, it is just for the club. I've added it all up and in three seasons of cricket and two seasons of hockey, Naomi and I have got five trophys, four medalians and two shirts

We have been enjoying the nicest weather here!! There has been clear blue sky and it has been neither hot nor cold, just perfect!

I hope you like my new background, it will take a while for me to get use too.

Naomi and I had hockey training yesterday afternoon. I'm really looking forward to starting the season. We have out first game on Saturday and I'm really excited. I'll probably have a look at hockey sticks on Saturday too, the shop is at the hockey fields.
I hope I find something.............

Cricket Grand Final Results......

*Ahem* I am pleased to say that...... (drum roll please)...... WE WON!!!!!!!

I'm so happy!!! I couldn't believe it when we won!! I keep saying to myself 'This is unreal'.
It was a very close game, we played CB. His team put up a really good fight and I honestly thought we were going to loose, but our team managed to pull through in the end. This is the second grand final my team has won in any form of sport.

I'm absolutely thrilled!!! So next week, my team will go to an association presentation where we will be presented with a trophy I think, and each of our team members will get a special shirt.

I'm so excited. I'm going to go and calm down.

Sorry!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I can't think of anything to post about besides things that have been happening in my life. And I have a feeling that your sick of me posting about that sorta stuff.

We have started hockey, well I haven't but our club has started I will be starting next week. I have been searching like a wild horse for a suitable hockey stick. I haven't had much luck yet, but I'm going to go to another shop sometime soon to have a look.

I am very nervous today because we have cricket semi finals this afternoon. As most of you would know, Naomi and I both play U/14's and U/12's. The semi's for those to age groups are on at the same time. So Naomi is going to go play in U/14's and I need to stay down to play U/12's. Now Naomi is usually the captain in the age group I'm going to play in, but since she won't be there, I need to take over her job and captain for the first time in one of the most important games of the year. I will have someone else to captain with me so that will be really good. I hope we win in U/14's, but not so much in U/12's:[

I know that sounds a bit wrong or unfair but Naomi agrees with me. As much as I would like U/12's to win their semi's, if U/14's wins theirs too, that would mean that I would need to go and play with U/12's again in the grand final and I would miss out on playing for U/14's. It sounds a bit weird and hard to understand.

Well..... wish us luck and....yeah, I can't think of anything else to say, oh, hope I find a good hockey stick soon:)

Hockey!!!

I'm so excited, next week we are signing up for hockey again!!!

It may not sound like much to you, but I absolutely love hockey. It is my favourite sport. I will be signing up for AR3, (A Reserve 3). It's a rather big achievement for me, but to others it wouldn't seem like much. I've been saving for a new hockey stick for about six months now. I still not exactly sure about which stick I will get, but I will need to choose soon. (I really really need a new hockey stick).

We lost our cricket game:( We needed 6 runs of one and a half overs, and we lost our last two wickets. It was a very good game though.

Cricket!

This week we only had on game of cricket. (Well half a game). We played U/14's, but U/12's had a bye.

We batted and we made a score of 5/145. It's not the best score but it's alright.

I retired not out on 5. I did alright, but I need more confidence.
Naomi and I nearly played 3rd grade. (Men's cricket). But all their players turned up
so we weren't needed.

Through the week, Naomi bought herself some wicket keeping gloves. They are so good.
She will be wicket-keeping in U/12's and U/14's.

That's just about all I think.

I'm Back

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been busy with my cricket.

I'll tell you how I went. The championship went for 2 days. On the first day we won both our games. I bowled and took one wicket in the first game, there was one run out off my bowling and I batted before I got run out. In the second game I didn't get and wicket, but there were two other run-outs off my bowling.

The next we had play offs. In the first game that day, I took one wicket and one catch, that game I was also run-out again. We lost that game so we went to our last game playing for 3rd position and 4th position. I didn't take any wickets that game, but I ran someone out. I opened the batting with another girl, on the first ball I faced, (for those of you who know your cricket) I played a forward defence. The ball went straight on to the ground after it hit the bat, but it must of bounced funny because it went straight back into the air like I had played some other silly shot. Anyway they caught it and the umpire gave me out.

So we lost that game and we finished 4th out of a possible 8 positions.

Hockey Grand Final!!

Today is the hockey GRAND FINAL day!!!

I'm so excited.

But........ during the week we got a phone call from the boss of the club we play for. She said that another grade, Ar3 (which is 2 grades above our normal grade!) were looking for an extra player. So they told us that the B grade coach was going to choose between Naomi and I to decide who will play B grade and who will play Ar3. (Their grand finals are on at the same time). The boss said that the B grade coach would ring us to tell us who is going to go and who is staying. We haven't heard anything and the grand finals are this morning, so we are hopping they picked another player.

Anyway, I'm sure we will have fun either way.

Wish us luck!

New Cricket Bat!!

Yesterday Naomi and I bought a cricket bat!!!

It is a early birthday present from our Mum and Dad.

Here is a picture of it.

We are very pleased.

Also, Naomi and I got in to a U/15's girls rep team and in a few weeks we are going to a place about 7 hours drive from us to play in the State Championship!! We are very excited. We are also looking forward to starting our local cricket where we are most defiantly playing U/14's and U/12's.

It is going to be a good year of cricket.

Hockey!

Here is the Hockey update.

In C grade we lost our game 3-0, all because of the umpire. They made some really unfair decisions and I mean really unfair. Naomi scored an excellent goal, the umpire didn't allow it. People have been calling it a rip-off. We also found out yesterday that one of the girls who was umpiring us hates our hockey club, so that might be why she gave some many unfair decisions. But wait..........there is good news!!

We won in B grade!!!!!

It is so exciting. After we won the game the B grade coach came over to Naomi and I and he said we were part of the B grade team now!!!! So on Saturday we are versing a team that has only been beaten twice throughout the season. The girls aren't sure about how we will go, but the coaches think we can win since the team we are versing is all women, but our team is all girls. So I'm expecting a close game.

So that's the hockey update. I'll post about our grand final on the weekend.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

This Saturday, we are having a very busy day.

At 10am, Naomi, Tully and I are all going to a homeschooling drama workshop. We are looking forward to it, we think it will be lots of fun. But sadly we will only be able to join in for the first hour. We need to leave early due to a.................

Hockey Preliminary Final!!!!! We won our game last Saturday, I scored 1 goal and so did Naomi. Since we won we are into the finals and if we win that we go to the Grand Final!!!! We play at 12:20pm Ok. I'm just going to tell you a few things so that you will understand what I'm going to say next. C grade hockey is for all year 7. B grade is a test for your skill, so there are some women in B grade but most of the players are about year 10. Ok so. Later on in the afternoon at 5:20pm after our C grade final, Naomi and I are playing for B grade in their final.

We played for them last week in Elimination Semi Finals. We beat the team 4-0, and I scored the last goal!! I was really happy about that.

We have our cricket sign-up day on Saturday too, but I think we are going to skip that.

Now the most important event on Saturday is.............. Tully is turning 11!!!!!

So that is my schedule for this Saturday.

Hockey!

I just wanted to update you on our hockey.

We are doing really well. We are second on the ladder out of 4 teams. This week we are versing the best team in the comp. (They have been for many years). This weeks game is our last game before the semi finals. If we win this weeks game or draw with the other team we will need to play them in the semi's. If we loose we will verse the team at the bottom of the ladder.

We are most likely going to loose this week, but we most certainly won't be disappointed if we do.

I'll keep you updated as the weeks go on.

Cricket!

On Sunday this week Naomi and I have another cricket trial!

We have been practising a lot lately. I think we will do alright.
We are hoping to get into the team.

This year I'm playing U/14's in cricket. I think I will do alright. I won't be a star
player but I will do well.

This is only a very short post.

Anyway. Wish us luck for Sunday.

(I'll post Sunday night and tell you how we go)

Another Trial!

Some of you may remember a post I did about a cricket trail that Naomi and I were going to, it was for a U/14's girls rep team. Well nothing became of that.

On Thursday our Dad got an email for a guy who was at the trail we went to. He and another lady are looking for girls to come to another trial. It turns out that this team is a U/15's girls rep team that will be competing in the Country Championship. The guy who sent us the email says's that Naomi and I should make it to the easily.

Naomi and I are very excited. We are excited at the fact that the guy thinks we should make it in easily. But we're not in the team yet and we will have to see how we go.

The trial is in two weeks so we have a bit of time to get back into cricket.

I'll let you know how we go.

Hockey!!!

Guess what. We finally won our first game of hockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the story.

The team we were versing got a goal in the first half and then we got one at the beginning of the second half so it was one all. Then in the last minute I dribbled the ball up to the top of the circle and someone knocked me over, I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not. So it was our ball. We got it into the circle and one of my team mates went for a shot at goal but it just missed, the ball was still in play though. So Naomi came into the circle and someone passed it to her and she got the goal!!!

We are still very excited about it all. We play again today but we are playing the best team so we probably won't win. I'm just glad we won last night.

Sport

I love sport.

I love to play cricket and hockey.

I don't mind playing soccer but I hate watching it.

I'm alright when it comes to cricket. Our team won the Premiership this year. During the whole season I took 5 wickets, I retired not out 3 times and I took 2 catches.

I'm a alright hockey player but I'm far from the best.
I like hockey because it is a fast game, there's lots of running and action. I haven't scored any goals this year YET.

If I had to choose between the two sports I would probably choose cricket.

Do you play a sport?
