Zip a dee doo dah

I honestly don't know why I've titled this post like that, I guess its just a random name for a random post. Anyway, it is absolutely soaking wet here, it has been raining nonstop for about an hour now, cricket has been called off for the whole weekend and I'm in misery because of it. I get so upset when sport is washed out.

But there is one good thing, its my birthday this weekend!!

I'm really excited, I'm going to have a big chocolate cake with drinks and pizza and lots of yummy foods. I don't have clue on what I'm getting for my birthday, hopefully there will be some good stuff. We have some streamers and balloons and we're going to decorate our living room and have great time! Just a quick post today, I can't think of what else to say. I just wanted to post something new. I might be able to post about my birthday, hopefully I will.

1. We have had about four thunder storms in two days here. Last night we had a real beauty of a storm with with a great show of lightning.

2. I played three games of cricket over the weekend, now my hamstrings are pretty sore.

3.My laptop is feeling really nice and warm on my lap at the moment. *ahhhhh*

4. It's my birthday in about two weeks.

5. I'm super excited about Christmas approaching.

6. There was just a two second black out here.

7. I'm immensely scared that the up coming week of cricket will be washed out due to rain.

Blog Background......

The poll for the new blog background is nearly over. I've been looking at each of the different backgrounds for a while and... well I'm just not sure. It looks like B will win, but I'm not sure if I want that. I know it sounds a bit..... I guess unfair not to put it on when it has clearly won, but I don't want to look at my blog and go 'Hmm..... ar....... *sigh*'. You know what I mean?

Anyway. I think I will have a bit of a fiddle on the blogger template designer and see if I can create something that is me on there.

Very Nervous!!!

It is Wednesday.... just about noon and I'm so nervous, excited, worried, confident and happy about our Grand Final!!! It starts tomorrow afternoon. I think is will be the game of the season! The whole team is really looking forward to it. It will be an awesome game whatever the out come. I have only been involved in one grand final in cricket and we won, I have been in two others in hockey and lost both of them.

I will try and post tomorrow night about how we are going in the final. (It is a two day game).

Hockey!!!

I'm so excited, next week we are signing up for hockey again!!!

It may not sound like much to you, but I absolutely love hockey. It is my favourite sport. I will be signing up for AR3, (A Reserve 3). It's a rather big achievement for me, but to others it wouldn't seem like much. I've been saving for a new hockey stick for about six months now. I still not exactly sure about which stick I will get, but I will need to choose soon. (I really really need a new hockey stick).

We lost our cricket game:( We needed 6 runs of one and a half overs, and we lost our last two wickets. It was a very good game though.

What's Been Happening

Well.... we are back in the swing of things here.

We are starting school work this week. I'm hoping I will get a lot of school work done this year. I am way behind. By the looks of things I'm going to have a lot more work this year, hopefully I won't fall even further behind.

We started cricket again last week. I played U/14's and 3rd grade. In U/14's we played CB, we have only played half the game so far, it is going to be a tough game to win. Naomi and I also filled in for 3rd grade, (that's men's cricket). It was a good game. Naomi and I had the biggest batting partnership out of the whole team, we batted out around twelve overs and Naomi got the second highest score for our team. It was a good cricket weekend.

Yesterday we went to church. Naomi Elise and I were on music with our music leader, but in the morning Elise said that she had a cold that been running through the family, (when one of my brothers or sisters gets a cold, everyone gets it except for my Mum and Dad). So Elise was sick on the morning we were playing, we got up to church to practise, it was all a bit much for Naomi, (Elise is the main musician in our music group, so it made things really hard). Naomi went home and it was just me, our music leader and our drummer, in the end we got another musician so it work out....OK... I guess.

So... about that nasty cold. Everyone has had it or is sick with except for me and my Mum and Dad. I'm trying so hard to eat lots of fruit and vegetables to give me the best chance of not getting the cold. It is working so for, but Naomi has that cold now and I sleep with her. Fingers crossed I don't wake up with a sore throat tomorrow.

We have lately been enjoying the Tennis tournament, the Australian Open. It finished last night. The winners of the women's final was Kim Clljsters and the winner of the men's was Novak Djokovic. (Anyone who has an interest in tennis would probably know who they are).

Well that's pretty much all I have to say.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

This Saturday, we are having a very busy day.

At 10am, Naomi, Tully and I are all going to a homeschooling drama workshop. We are looking forward to it, we think it will be lots of fun. But sadly we will only be able to join in for the first hour. We need to leave early due to a.................

Hockey Preliminary Final!!!!! We won our game last Saturday, I scored 1 goal and so did Naomi. Since we won we are into the finals and if we win that we go to the Grand Final!!!! We play at 12:20pm Ok. I'm just going to tell you a few things so that you will understand what I'm going to say next. C grade hockey is for all year 7. B grade is a test for your skill, so there are some women in B grade but most of the players are about year 10. Ok so. Later on in the afternoon at 5:20pm after our C grade final, Naomi and I are playing for B grade in their final.

We played for them last week in Elimination Semi Finals. We beat the team 4-0, and I scored the last goal!! I was really happy about that.

We have our cricket sign-up day on Saturday too, but I think we are going to skip that.

Now the most important event on Saturday is.............. Tully is turning 11!!!!!

So that is my schedule for this Saturday.
