School Work Once Again

Today I need to start school work again. We have been on holidays for the last three weeks, and then Australia celebrated or remembered on Anzac day which was Monday, so we had an extra ling weekend and now today we need to start school work once again.

I only did MathsOnline last term for my maths, my mum thinks that's enough besides maybe a little bit of book work. I was going through the small list of things I need to do for school work this term and my mum said I will be starting formal English. I haven't been doing formal English or spelling, my mum says that my blog and my history projects have been like my English.

History will probably be the same as last year. I think I'm pretty good at history, or maybe its just me. When we do history, we will read about something or someone, then we will need to go and research it on the internet and when then need to type up about it. The last project I did was about Jamestown and Pocahontas. It took me about two weeks to do it because I had to read a whole book and progress really slowed down in the middle of the project with the reading and typing. In the end I think it was a bout ten pages long. So I was pretty happy with that. (The standard project for me is only about 2-3 pages long).

I also do science. I'm not a very big fan of it. We are working on animals at the moment, so for we have down I think mammals, birds and whales. I probably missed a few there. Anyways, its 7:45am and I;m just lying in bed with my winter P.J's on and my stomach is growling at me so I betta get up.

Oh..... I almost forgot. Naomi and I start hockey again this weekend and we are playing a the water turf at night!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I love playing at night under the huge big lights. Lets hope we win.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

I don't know if you have heard about this series of books or not. I read the first three books in the series yesterday and today.

These books are all pretty funny. They are pretty much well...... a diary a a wimpy kid. 

The owner of the diary is Greg. He is new to high school and try's his best to gather a bit of popularity. His best pal Rowley lives down the road from him and also goes to the same school as him. Together and sometimes alone, they come up with all these crazy ideas to become noticed and liked. 

It is also about his life at home. Well..... its a diary, he writes about things that happen in his life. 

I'm not good at book reviews, so........ I'll probably finish up.

Out of 5 stars.... I would probably give this series 3 stars. So its not the best series of books, but it is very light and easy to read, plus its funny:)

I'm so happy!

I'm back from my holiday! It is very nice to be home. I played hockey on Saturday, at half time we were loosing 2-1. But we came back in the second half to win 2-6!!! It was very exciting. I scored one goal, and should have scored another, although I stuffed up.

Guess what................................................. I finally bought a new hockey stick!!!!! Here it is.

It is the one I have been wanting for ever so long. I bought it Saturday afternoon and used it in my game. It is amazing. Such a step up from the stick I have been using. Today I went down to the local sports store and bought what is called a 'shaft guard'. It is a thick clear tape that wraps from the handle, all the way done to the curve. It's purpose is to protect the stick to keep it looking good. I think it  looks awesome!! What do you think?

Nearly Home!

Tomorrow we finish our holiday.

It has been a rather short holiday. We drove here Sunday afternoon, Monday was lovely and sunny, the Tuesday was windy, overcast and wet, yesterday my family went to visit some friends of ours. We had a great time. It was sunny most the day, but just as we were leaving, it began to rain rather hard. Naomi, Elise, Alice and I all played Absolute Boulder Dash together, it was so much fun!!! I had never played it before so it was really nice to be able to learn and play it with Alice. (She is really good at it) :)
So after an afternoon of fantastic fun, we had to come back to where we are spending our holiday. Today it is wet again, but there is a bit more sun.

I'm looking out the door of where we're staying, the local ferry is going by, we are right on the coast with a bay right in front of us! Being on the coast, I'm desperate to go to the beach, but unless in stops raining and the sun comes out, I don't think we'll be going :(

Tomorrow Naomi and I play our second game of hockey for the season, which is also the last game before school holidays. I think we have good chance of winning. The team comes from the same club as our team, but I don't think it has as many good players on it. Fingers-crossed we win!!

During our holiday, we have been walking down to the local bakery here. We buy really nice bread and we also buy special treats. I bought myself a bun with cream through the middle of it and a small blob of jam. It is really nice, I'm trying to save it and not eat all in one go :)

We Won!

We played our first game of hockey for the season today and we won!!! We beat the team who won the grand final last year. It wasn't looking to good for us in the first half, but after that (since they were nearly all middle age to old ladies) they just weren't able to keep up with us when we were running.

I nearly scored a goal once or twice. I played center-forward for one of the first times, and apparently I played the position really well!! I'm very pleased about it.

Tomorrow we head off for a little holiday with my grandparents! I'm really looking forward to it. I'll probably post while we are there. I'm not sure if I'm able to take my laptop though.

I'm quite hot at the moment. Whenever I play hockey, I nearly always finished the game and my face is really red. I nickname my self 'Beetroot Face"!!! LOL.
